FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
What’s Up With Emrand Henry?
Everything seems to be up and happening for Emrand Henry, son of the soil, on his return to St. Lucia a couple weeks ago.
Literally straight from the plane into the studio with a couple of his favourite producers, he has a few songs ready to release. Emrand always wanted to write and sing calypso and so he has with a new track produced by Gilbert "Gilly" Cooke of Lynx Studios titled "Doctor" which is a social commentary. Always sticking to his Gospel roots, he has rewritten an old Jim Reeves song "I’ll Fly away" produced by Francis "Leebo" DeLima of Heights Sudio.
Emrand is back from his travels that has taken him from North America and as far down as Trinidad. He started off in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida by going into studio with Jamaican Stephen Murphy who produced his second album "Line Up Di Troops Dem" which has given him a greater fan base amongst the Jamaican community.
He has performed in Rap Concerts in New York with Right Side Up Entertainment and a show with the Area 51 rap group from Washington D.C.. He has been in great demand from the churches in the wider New York, Maryland and D.C. areas for Gospel Concerts, where he has been expanding his fan base.
He spent time in Trinidad and Tobago promoting his CD and was privileged to tour with Issac Blackman where he performed in concerts, churches and clubs. Whilst in Trinidad he took the opportunities being afforded to him to do some Public Relations on many radio & television stations, newspapers and was even featured in a couple of popular magazines. He also headlined a benefit concert for Haiti in Tobago.
Let’s take a sneak peek into the near future for Emrand. He is on way to the Bahamas for V Mac’s album launch and to minister at the Youth Alive Youth Conference with Bahamas Faith Ministry under the leadership of world renowned Dr. Miles Monroe. He then goes to Guyana to minister at a Youth Concert under the theme Soca vs.Dancehall headlining the show alongside Jamaican Gospel Dancehall sensation, Prodigal. Guadeloupe will then be his next stop to tour with Gospel rapper Fola where there will be many media links for performances and interviews.
Amidst all his travels Emrand will be recording at home with various producers on island to bring us another great album. He is also in the planning stages of two videos to air very soon. In the Summer he will be returning to North America where his management is already active in engaging him with some great concerts.
